The Brief

As Australia’s leading Point of Sale (POS) system and stock control software, Retail Express provides an intuitive end-to-end solution for growing retailers. Retail Express had an ambition to move from account-based marketing to a vertical approach, and was looking for a partner to help develop tailored brand marketing for its key verticals.

Sharley Consulting was tasked with developing a brand communications strategy to showcase the brand’s leadership and provide value to clients and potential clients through relevant topics and practice-focused actionable insights.

Our Approach

Sharley Consulting conducted an initial review of Retail Express’ existing content and data, before delving into research across Australian and international fashion and footwear brands. With these insights, we worked together with Retail Express to create the Ultimate Guide for Fashion and Footwear retailers. 

The 30-page report was filled with over 100 actionable insights spanning successful marketing and loyalty initiatives, must-dos for in-store experience, winning eCommerce plays, critical inventory and fulfilment strategies and best practices for data-driven decision-making and innovation. On top of producing the Guide, we managed the distribution of the Retail Guide across key industry channels, as well as through industry research.

Off the back of the success of the Retail Guide, Retail Express expanded the scope of work with Sharley Consulting to include strategic content planning, amplification and tracking for its key target audiences.

The Result

As a timely and insightful piece of content, the Ultimate Guide was picked up across leading fashion and retail publications. The Guide was also distributed to a number of highly relevant contacts across email, social media, and exclusive closed communities in the fashion and technology sector.
